ESI Registration

Medical benefits such as accident benefits, sickness benefits and maternity benefits for worker are under The Employee's State Insurance Fund (ESI) Act, 1948. This Act U/s.2(12) of the act is applicable to non-seasonal factories employing 10 or more person,

Under Section 1(5) of the Act, the Scheme has been extended to shops, hotels, restaurants, cinemas including preview theatres, road-motor transport undertakings and newspaper establishments employing 20* or more persons, Further U/s.1(5) of the act the Scheme has been extended to Private Medical and Educational institutions employing 20* or more persons in certain States/UTs.

ESI Contubution by Employer must be contribute @ 4.75% for all employees having a wages earned less than Rs.15000/- Pm. and Employee Contribution should be @ 1.75% of wages earned.

 

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR ESI REGISTRATION

 

Additional document in case of company and partnership firm-

  • Scanned copy of PAN card
  • Identity and address proof
  • Current account statement for minimum one month
  • Shop and establishment registration for minimum 10 employees
  • Rent agreement in case of rented property with NOC
  • Utility bill
  • Employee passport size photo and ID proof
  • Scanned copy of PAN card of firm or company
  • Partnership deed in case of firm or MOA & AOA in case of company
  • Registration certificate if firm registered or Certificate of incorporation in case of company
  • ID and address proof of all partners or director
